What will health insurance cost you before 65?

Enter your ZIP, ages and expected income. See real Marketplace prices, your tax credit, and how close you are to the subsidy cliff, where one dollar too much income can cost thousands.

What counts as income?

The Marketplace uses your household's ACA MAGI: your adjusted gross income plus all Social Security, tax-exempt interest and excluded foreign income. It's about where money comes from, not how much you spend.

Counts
  • Traditional IRA / 401(k) withdrawals
  • Roth conversions
  • Pensions, wages, self-employment profit
  • Capital gains (the gain only)
  • Dividends and interest, incl. tax-exempt
  • All Social Security benefits
Doesn't count
  • Spending cash savings
  • Qualified Roth IRA withdrawals
  • HSA money used for medical costs
  • Loans, gifts, inheritances
  • The original cost of investments you sell
